THE
ABANDONED
SOUTH

As humans, we strive to build a life we’re proud of. Our homes are the platform on which we build these lives. These places hold importance because they are the foundation of the memories that help shape us into who we become. It is this concept that sparked my interest in places that have become abandoned. I was intrigued by the idea that a place that was once special to someone could become neglected and forgotten by the rest of the world. In this series, I aimed to capture thought-provoking images that make the viewer wonder about what life was once like behind the decaying walls of these structures. These places serve as a reminder that life makes no promises of permanence.
